There are four main slicing techniques that determine the visual grain pattern:

• Plain Sliced (Flat Cut): Produces a “cathedral” grain pattern, ideal for high-end furniture.

• Quarter Sliced: Creates a straight, vertical grain, commonly used for Wenge or Zebrano to highlight linear textures.

• Rift Cut: Specific to oak and certain African species to minimize “fleck” and ensure a uniform straight grain.

• Rotary Cut: The log is peeled like a roll of paper, primarily used for Okoume or Keruing core veneers in plywood production.

We strictly follow international trade standards, primarily focusing on:

• A/AB Grade (Architectural Grade): Clear of knots, mineral streaks, or discoloration. Uniform color and grain consistency across flitches.

• B Grade (Commercial Grade): May contain minor natural characteristics like small pin knots or slight color variations, suitable for standard furniture production.

• Backing Grade: Used for the hidden side of panels, where structural integrity is prioritized over aesthetics.

For the international market, our standard thicknesses include:

• Thin Veneer: 0.5mm to 0.6mm (The global standard for furniture and door manufacturing).

• Thick/Construction Veneer: 1.0mm, 1.5mm, to 2.5mm (Often used for engineered flooring or high-wear surfaces).

• Customized thicknesses are available upon request for bulk B2B orders.

We maintain a strict moisture content of 8% to 12% for our veneers. Each bundle is carefully dried and then packed in air-tight, moisture-proof wrapping within reinforced wooden crates to prevent warping, mold, or “buckling” during long-term maritime transit.
